How safety is assured? Are visitors allowed at the departments?

A basic condition of successful treatment is the guaranteed cleanness of the premises, especially of patients’ rooms. A high level of air purity is reached thank to an air-conditioning unit with three-level filtration and final HEPA filters. A positive overpressure in patients’ rooms prevents the entry of infectious agents from outside.

The rooms are equipped with central distribution system of oxygen and compressed air. Monitors of vital functions are available for all beds. Two central monitors track and store monitored trends. Prepared for the most serious cases are two lung ventilators and two hemodialysis machines. The department has 15 resuscitation beds.

Medications are prepared exclusively in laminar boxes with vertical air flow. Medication administration and dosage is ensured with 178 infusion devices for 15 beds.

Patients in critical situations have a MediCall alarm system at their disposal, both at their beds and in sanitary facilities inside the rooms.

For rapid diagnostics the department has a mobile X-ray device and a mobile mid-range ultrasound machine facilitating urgent  examinations.

The physiotherapeutic team has a therapeutic laser, ultrasound and a portable electrotherapy device. The nutrition therapist measures the temperature of baked food with a contactless thermometer.
