Department of Clinical Trials

The department is the primary contact for the clinical trials in IHBT and provides administrative support for their implementation. The department participates in all phases of clinical evaluation: study feasibility (study feasibility), selection (qualification) visits, initiation visits, monitoring visits, closing visits and lastly archiving of study documents. The department also coordinates contracts´ negotiation including study budgets, checks invoices and payments, and maintains a database of clinical trials. The department ensures all communication with the sponsors of the clinical trials and at the same time among the members of the study team.

The ÚHKT is ready to participate in clinical evaluations in a wide range of hematological and hemato-oncological diagnoses. We have an experienced team of doctors, nurses, study coordinators and all the equipment to successfully conduct clinical trials. By combining laboratory and clinical hematology, transfusion medicine and research laboratories, we provide patients with specialized care in the field of hematological diseases. The complement of IHBT laboratories performs highly specialized laboratory examinations. Some laboratories serve as national reference laboratories and collaborate on the preparation of samples for external quality assessment within the Czech Republic.
